August 2013

Finally.
It has taken us a while to send you a new update and in the mean time God has been doing so much and we have so many testimonies to share! We have been working on sending our updates out in a new format and that took us longer than expected. But now once it is done we will be able to update you more frequently in a easier way!

Highlights.
There is so much to tell but we want to share with you some highlights from the past months. It has been amazing to see how God has been opening doors for us and given us opportunities to minister here in South Africa.
One of them was a woman's conference where Mariella was invited to speak. It was amazing, they has set up a tent in one of the communities on a open space and invited people to come. The woman from the townships are so passionate and real prayer worriers and it was great to experience this. The Word of God ministered to many of them as they were encouraged to go to Jesus and sit at His feet to receive
strength and love and encouragement.

Kevin has been having a blast in speaking at different Discipelship Training Schools (DTS), one at the end of March, one in April and two in July as he was also invited to one of the schools in Johannesburg. He also ministered in a conference in one of the townships called Philippi where he saw almost every one that was prayed for getting healed on the last night . There was a young lady that came up to receive healing and as she got touched by the power of God, she was healed and with tears asked if we could pray for her baby that was sick at home. When Kevin came home from the conference he received a message that the child was healed and playing when she came home that evening. Glory to God!

In the April DTS he was asked to speak on the Holy Spirit and we have never seen such a outpouring and manifestation of His presence, it was such a blessing!
In Johannesburg he was not only speaking in a DTS but also in different churches and people brought him around to minister and to share the gospel to the lost, it was powerful and impacting. One of the greatest testimonies is one where he was asked to come and visit this older Hindu couple that has been Hindu their whole life's, very devoted. He had the opportunity to share the good news of Jesus Christ and the wife immediately said:" I want to have this Jesus because in all those years I have never found fulfillment and peace in Hinduism" so she gave her life to the Lord right then and there in front of her husband who was holding back. Praise Jesus for His saving power!

These few couple of months has been filled with many opportunities to preach and to see Gods favor and goodness. We are so thankful and amazed as we have seen a person standing up out of a wheelchair, disabled foot been made whole and many other miracles of Gods grace and power with the greatest miracle of all: salvation!

Harvest

As we have shared in our last newsletter God has spoken clearly to us about staying longer in South Africa. As we have finished our two years commitment with Bethesda, we don't fully know how this new season will look like. All we know is that it is a season where we feel God wants us to continue to emerge ourselves in the local church and through the local church reach out to the harvest field. We believe to equip the local church for the harvest is very important as the harvest is plenty but the workers are few.

Baby

We are on our 40th week now and can not wait to meet our baby girl. The pregnancy has been amazing, all the way trough and we are enjoying the last precious moments of kicking and movements and time together before she is born :-) In this new season we are very excited to become parents and to have this wonderful opportunity to share this experience with one another as a married couple is such a blessing. Our daughter, together with her cousin Melia, are the first born with a Christian heritage in their generational line, praise God! Of course we will update as soon as she is born :-)
