We are so thankful to God and so blessed to not only tell you that we are expecting our first child but also give you the amazing testimony behind this to give glory to God. For some people getting pregnant is a easy rode and for some people it is not. For us it was not as easy as we expected it to be and after years of waiting we decided to go to a fertility doctor at the beginning of last year just to get ourselves checked up and see if there is anything not working properly that can be easily helped. We ended up going through a whole circle of tests and Mariella got medicine that she needed to take, that would boost a hormone in her body that ended up being too low. The doctor was positive and said: “God willing, you will be pregnant within 6 months” that was the start of a horrible and expensive couple of months as the medicine had crazy side effects on her body, but of course this was our hope so we continued. After 7 months we both felt that this was not doable and God was challenging our faith in the midst of this, because were we really trusting God? Of course we believe God works through doctors and medicine that is why we went the first place, but now we felt challenged by God asking us the question: “Do you trust Me?” and we both came to the point that we said: “Yes Lord we trust You, more than anything else” One day we decided to read through in one setting all the miracles Jesus did in the New Testament, when we were finished there was one thing echoing in our spirits: “Let it be done to you ac-cording to your faith” We where convinced and knew God was speaking to us and we said: Lord according to Your Word we believe that You will bless us with children with-out any medicine or doctors and this will be Your miracle. From that day on we threw away the medicine and the recipe to get them and decided never to go back to the doctor or take medicine to get pregnant. Now the hardest thing with faith is to keep on believing because after a while you get weary, which we experienced as well but our prayer always was: Lord see our belief and help our unbelief! Before we left for the United States last October God spoke to us in a encounter that He was going to do this time in America what He has promised. We were thinking maybe its our visa to the US so in the States Kevin asked God: “Lord, what did you mean by this?” Then suddenly as clear as anything else he saw a vision of a little child sitting in front of him and God said: “I am giving you a child“ and three weeks later we were pregnant!
All praise and glory to God who is the same yesterday, today and forever and still in the business of miracles! We pray that our story may bless you and stir up your faith for whatever situation you are believing God for!
