June 2012

Dear friends and family,

We pray that this letter finds each of you in good health and that you are doing well. We are excited to tell you all about the many things God has been doing here in South Africa and in our lives. Suddenly we are in the winter season as probably most of you are heading for the summer. We can’t complain because winter here is cold but still sunny sometimes and we won’t see any snow where we are at. I think that’s why the South Africans have decided not to put central heating in the houses so we are spending our evening’s very cozy under a blanket with a hot South African Rooibos tea.
We have a lot of encouraging testimonies to share with you. As you read it, remember ‘the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy’ (Rev 19:10).

Uganda

From the 24th of April until the 7of May Kevin was ministering in Uganda. It was a very fruitful time but it did not come easy but with many difficulties just as God had spoken to me before I left. When I went to Uganda I did not know where I was going to stay but God provided a place for me. Though the living conditions were very hard, God was faithful in the midst of it. I had a very busy schedule as I ministered almost every day and sometimes up to 5 sessions a day in the middle of nowhere out in the jungle. The region that I went to was 80% Muslim populated and I did not hear or see any missionaries that live in that region. The main focus was to build up the faith of the people in who God is and also in whom they are in God. In every conference we held healing services and saw more people healed then I have ever seen during our whole time of ministry. The Holy Spirit would lead me to pray for healing on mass and we would see a multitudes being healed with one prayer, as the spirit of infirmity was bound and sickness was commanded to go in Jesus name. It was amazing to see the power of God bringing many to salvation, healing and deliverance. I saw eye sight being restored, people falling to the ground and being delivered from demons. Heart condition, back problems, stomach problems, and many other conditions were healed as the power of Jesus would sweep through the meetings. I have learned so many new things when it comes to deliverance and healing that I could never have learned in any other setting. God gave me the privilege of connecting with many pastors from different regions in Uganda and we are praying about planning to set up a mass crusade next year as they believe in my calling and my background as an Iranian that is a great testimony for the Muslims in the region. Also through this trip new doors have opened up for us in Kenya, Congo, Sudan and Rwanda and when the timing of God is there our heart is to preach the gospel to every nation. After arriving home I got very sick that resulted in a stay in the hospital for 3 days. Still to this day we don’t know what I picked up in Uganda that caused me to be so sick but glory to God that I am doing much better as I have been resting and getting back my strength. God has been very faithful to me and it is a great honor to continue to serve Him wherever He will send us. We would like to thank God and all those who have so faithfully stood with us during this trip and have stood together with us to see His kingdom advancing.

LBSC 2012 In May 2012 we ran another Leading by the Spirit course of 6 weeks. We had 28 students from all over the world joining us for a time of receiving, healing and equipping. We were also blessed as our friends came to South Africa to do the school. We have never seen such a hunger in the students as in this school, we had awesome times of worship where we just went on and on and nobody wanted to finish. In this school we have been praying a lot for Capricorn, the township where we are working at. We had 40 hours of prayer where we read the Word over Capricorn and did a strategic outreach into Capricorn where we took 3 days to pray through the things God has revealed to us. It was a powerful time where things shifted in the spiritual realm and where we know things will change in the natural as well.
On Friday April 13th we took a full day to invade Capricorn with the presence of God and set up a light & life event where we put up 2 big tents at the entrance of Capricorn and made signs offering prophecy, prayer for healing, freedom from evil spirits, face painting for the kids, as well as simple pictures from God. The spiritual realm is very real in townships like Capricorn, where witchcraft and cursing is a part of daily life and there is an incredible hunger for the supernatural. Our aim (as always) was to demonstrate the Kingdom of God through signs, wonders and miracles. To offer healing and life through Jesus and to bring people into a life changing encounters with the God who speaks, heals and sets people free! Our tent was buzzing for the full 5 hours that we were open. We saw about two hundred people come through to receive from Jesus. In spite of the extremely strong winds that picked the tent right off the ground as well as attacks of confusion and chaos; fifteen precious people made decisions for Jesus!! And…over 21 people were healed!!!!!! Legs grew back, eyesight was restored, swollen legs returned to normal, knees and backs were healed, gangsters were touched by the presence of the Living God, muscle spasms were removed and many more amazing things were accomplished by our awesome Jesus. All glory and honor to Him! )

We had a paper available where people that wanted follow up could write down their information like address and phone number and we have been following up on them, visiting (still are) when we are in Capricorn and connecting them to different Bible studies. God is amazing good!

Capricorn – Freeground
We found out that the township where we are working originally is called: Vrijgrond (in Afrikaans) or Freeground in English. What an awesome name isn’t it? We have claimed that for the people living there, complete freedom in Christ Jesus! We have been witness of amazing things God has been doing over there past few months in our ministry in Freeground. Do you remember Sharon, the lady we talked about and where we have our Bible study now every Friday? She got baptized in a church close by that we are attending also. It was wonderful to see a life change so completely. We have been faithfully with one Bible study that God gave us in the beginning and right now we have 6 Bible studies running every Friday. God has been working in many lives and people are hungry to meet and to learn more about the Word of God. In one of the Bible studies that we are doing we go to the home of the nice family of Marleen and her sister. Marleen is a wonderful lady that we met on one of our Fridays going door to door and for a couple of weeks we just went to her house every week to pray for her until this turned into doing Bible studies as well. At the time she was very much pregnant (see picture) and expecting her daughter to come in April. She told us about her other 2 children and that with both of them she was never able to give birth the natural way. Then her husband injured his hand during work and the doctors said that he needed to be home for 4 month to let it heal and needed physiotherapy to get his hand working properly again. It was a hard time for them as they were also expecting another baby and here in South Africa, when you get injured at work, it doesn’t mean that they will continue to pay your salary while you are recovering so this was financial very tough for them. As they shared this with us we were able to minister to them and started to pray, for Marleen and for her to be able to have a natural birth and that everything would go perfect with God’s blessings and for her husband’s hand. We can testify that God has completely healed her husband’s hand and he is back now working after 3 weeks instead of 4 months!!! And right now they have a beautiful baby girl that was born through natural birth and amazing blessings around the birth. They have felt God’s blessings so much upon their life and were testifying about these miracles. Isn’t God amazing?
A big thank you to  all of you that are standing with us in support and prayer, we could not do this work without you and are thanking God for you and asking for His continues favor and blessings upon your lifes!

Love and blessings,
Kevin en Mariƫlla Kazemi
